  • I don't want to do a thing today but I must. I must go pay my water bill lol or I'll be in trouble with the husband. I really need to buy stamps so I can mail these bills out. We don't have a post office where we live so I have to drive the 10 miles into town to go to the nearest post office. I've petitioned the USPS to survey the need for a post office out here. Hopefully the feel that it's necessary!

On the upswing we're getting a pizza place on the corner, a chinese place and a hair and tanning salon! That's progress lol Now we can have pizza delivered in under an hour if we want it. Unfortunately I can't enjoy it since they use some sort of cheese that never agrees with me. Dominoe's pizza used to be my favorite but now I can't eat it.

We went looking at trucks last night as well as the deer. We are having such a hard time finding one that we like. Either it's got too many extra's or it's not got any etc. I think we're going to end up buying our vehicles in GA since they seem to be about 5,000.00 cheaper there. The guy last night was telling me that the trucks all come from the same place etc. So I asked "Well if they all come from the same place why can't you sell them for that price? Why do I have to drive 5 hours to save so much money? Oh wait I live in a military town where they love to wring the money out of soldier's pockets!" He was a little blown away that I was that bold but darn it I'm tired of being taken advantage of because we're military. All too often we pay more for things here because they know the military soldiers will pay the higher price. It gets old.

We have our names on the list for tickets to the Green Bay Packers-Carolina Panter's game. They sold out on the first day so we're hopeful we'll get tickets. It's what Steve wants to do for his birthday which is only 4 days after the game!

Me I want to go here for my birthday this year. I've never been and the leaves will be turning and it's just a great time to go to the mountains. Hopefully it will work out.

Alright I'm procrastinating lol Off I go to do my "chores" heehee

  • Have a great day!  Have you checked into Stamps.com?  Print the postage off your printer, right onto the envelopes.  I think they are having a deal right now so you can get a free scale for your bigger packages.   I use it all the time.

May your errands be swift and painless...

  • LOL! I was 'amening' over here about that military price thing. It has been that way every station we were ever at, and even WORSE overseas, as you surely know. The Brits seemed to think we were rich when we were being paid in American dollars which were so much less valuable than the British pound. It was terrible, and then they keep giving the guys and their families seminars on 'fitting in' and 'not acting American'. Well tell them to stop fleecing us!

Oh here I go...I will stop now.

  • Hope you get all your errands done. Have a great day!

  • BRAVO on the military price gouging thing.  You are so on the money there!  You should come to TN,  active duty soldiers don't have to pay sales tax on vehicles here.

  • YES YES YES!  You know I live in Atlanta.  I got up to Helena and Dahlonega several times a year to go hiking.  I love it.  If you do get to go, you must stop in Dahlonega.  It's about 30 minutes at most from Helena.  The falls are beautiful there.  Maybe I could actually meet you in person?  LOL.  Seriously, I love the North Georgia mountains.  I can't wait to get up there to hike in the fall.  Oh, and in regards to the vehicle... yes.  I remember being at Ft. Hood - all rent is higher in a military community, vehicles are higher.  It's bullshit, and makes me soooo mad!  ~Andi

  • The Packer Carolina game.  You know if you go I will be SOOOOOO jealous.  You will have to take a picture of Brett and email it to me.  I have already dusted off my cheesehead for next weeks Monday night game.
