Take the Rate My Life Quiz

Thanks Jenna... heehee obviously my mind is gone but what's new?

    My horoscope for today..
There's more to someone than meets the eye, so give
them a second chance before you dismiss them entirely from your life.
Sure, they may not make the greatest first impression. It's the ones
    after that that count

Interesting as I'm in a period of transition in my life. I'm attempting to let those who mean alot to me that I care and am glad they are in my life. I'm trying to change the things I can and accept the things I cannot. But currently I'm not sure there is anyone I've met I have made a snap judgment over. Hmmm will have to think on this one.

  • I did it! I purchased a laptop last night thru the AAFES website and saved 110.00 plus taxes and shipping! I'm so stoked about getting this laptop! It will be a partial tax deduction for next year as I'll use it for work, especially any weeks I'm out for upcoming stuff. I'm excited as all get out! Plus I'll be able to play SIMS again lol

We just finished doing our federal taxes and now I'm trying to figure out my state taxes. I had to do a dummy form for me and well after deductions lol I made a whole one dollar and eighty-eight cents! Woohoo Big money! Just means I should get all of my state taxes back this year! Next year Steve will file NC tax as well so we've got to make sure we paid the right amount lol

I hope this weekend has been wonderful!

  • Last night we went to the most amazing resturant called "The Melting Pot". It's a fondue resturant with some awesome wine and food. We had a great time and were there for three hours before we finished our meal. It's that great relaxed atmosphere though that doesn't rush you. They want you to sit and enjoy the food and friends.

The best was our server.. he was a riot. He was openly gay and very funny. He didn't flirt with the men and played right into our jokes and fun. He brought out the dessert fondues and on the plate was cheesecake, pineapple, strawberry's etc. Well he suggested the cheesecake, with pineapple, dipped in the oreo white chocolate mix. OMG it was like a mini orgasim in my mouth. I know that sounds crude but I have nothing I could compare it to that would better describe how wonderful this was! Sorry if I offended anyone lol

We stayed the night in Raleigh and just enjoyed being alone and a couple. We haven't taken much time for one another and we needed to regroup. In light of all that's gone on these past few weeks we needed to reconnect and re-energize. We did just that and today I'm ready to face whatever comes my way because I have an amazing support system. They are my rocks and will ride this wild journey with me all the way to the edge.

We're off to get contacts for Chelsea and do a little bit of shopping. Hopefully we can sit and finish our taxes today.

I hope you are having a great weekend!

  • Heehee thanks for the well wishes at the dentist.. it was just a filling that had fallen out. I thought I had cracked a perfectly round hole in my tooth last month but couldn't for the life of me figure out how I did it. Turns out I didn't do anything.. the filing was loose! Turns out the hardest part of my day has been staying awake and focused. I did manage to get a lot of work done, God help me I hope it's good work lol j/k.

Steve went to the doctor today was diagnosed with high blood pressure :-/ they put him on the same meds I take for water retention lol Now we'll be confused as to who's is who's heehee. They also said more on his sleep apnea and looks like he does have it! Now to just get the machine! I told him today that I love him dearly but did not miss the snoring at all. Hopefully he knows his disability rating soon.

Jess made it the whole day at school.. I am so proud of her! She did all of her homework for last week while on vacation as well. This from the kid who hated doing it months ago. I'm so proud of her progression and desire to be a good student.

I hope Thursday has been good to you all.. HELLO FRIDAY!

  • They are home safe and sound! They got in an hour early too! I wasn't even at the airport yet and they called us. Turned out nice because we got home before one in the morning!

In other news.. Chelsea made the team!!!!!!! We don't know positions yet but we're so proud of her! We also received an announcement yesterday from Who's Who..High School and she received that honor. I don't how.. but it's cool.

I have to get a tooth filled today and naturally my sinuses are draining! FUN.. not

This blog is sort of all over the place lol but then again.. so am I. I hope you have a wonderful TGIT!

  • Ok huge favor but can you all send Steve and Jess safe travel weather? Those damn passes between the valley over to Yakima scare me in the summer but they have closed the pass every up till today till noon due to adverse weather conditions. They are supposed to fly out at 10:00 am so that means they have to leave Yakima at 4am. It scares me to death to think of them driving at that time of the morning on the Snowqualmie pass.

On top of it all.. they fly into Philly tomorrow evening. I hope they have no delays! Argh I really don't like this part of it all.. I'll be happy when they are home safe.

thanks.. this mini nervous break down brought to you by the makers of prozac

  • It's hard to think of a sign that loves Valentine's Day as much as you do. So while today's astrological agenda is just perfect for bringing people together -- and turning up the tenderness in all our lives, big time -- that goes double for you. No matter who your lucky Valentine happens to be, then, do what comes naturally and make their day: Turn on that smile and let them know how very glad you are they're with you -- as only you can

My horoscope for the day ^ there

Valentine's Day.. the day that was made for lovers.

In reality, I like this day but loved it even more as a child. I loved making my Valentine's Day MailBox and decorating it with the pretty paper lace doilies and hearts and glitter. I loved opening up the now very cheesy but cute valentine's cards and even got a few secret admirer cards when I was in 4th grade. I think it's a social holdiay, a day meant to inspire us all to share the love we feel for one another and if you aren't prone to it daily then it's an opportunity to express it at least once a year.

There is one thing I don't ask for though on Valentine's and that is flowers. I love getting flowers but not on this day simply because of the mark up. It's insane! So I don't ever receive roses.. occasionally I will get a bouquet of Tulips, which are one of my favorite flowers but that's it.

It's a day where we are allowed to be cheesy and emotional and then return to our normal selves the following day after inducing chocolate, and partaking in fine dining etc. But if you know me at all, then you know I'm pretty expressive with my love and affection. So I like to be cheesy and sappy all year long.

But on this special day I'd like to thank those in my life who stand by me when I am good and when I'm bad, when I'm being a completely selfish beyotch and when I'm giving all of me to others. I'd like to thank those that I hold close to my heart for they have a permanent place there always. I make mistakes and you allow me to make them, don't judge me for them and stand by me even when I'm being stupidly stubbon. I appreciate the circle I have and am grateful it is a circle of unending friendship, bonds built on years of talks, cries and laughter. Thank you for all you bring to my life, because I can never truly repay you for all you give to me.

    Happy Valentine's Day

  • I find it slightly funny that I'm more into the Winter Olympics than the Summer Olympics. I'm not a big winter kind of girl outside of loving snuggling by a warm fire or ice skating lol so I find it odd that I'm able to sit and watch hours of winter sports. I cleaned my bedroom to the sounds of Canada whooping Russia this am. Now I'm in the midst of watching Men's Cross Country Skiing.

Lazy weekend, but I did get much accomplished. I hope you had a great weekend!

February 11, 2006

  • Yeah Yeah I'm up

Watched the Olympic Opening Ceremonies till about 8:30 and then I went to bed because I was still so tired. Fortunately we have the TiVo working and I just watched it when I got up at 7 this morning. It was a great opening overall. I love Italy though and it's known far and wide I'd live there forever if I could afford it. Of course I'd have to live in the Tuscan region, most likely in Lucca as it is my favorite village there. Second would be Sienna as it's majestic and I could work in one of the little shops. Sigh.............

Steve and Jess are having far too much fun now lol Jess is being spoiled rotten which is a great thing. She'll remember this trip all her life and I'm so glad they got to take it. We're making plans to travel out there next summer and rent a cabin up on Bumping Lake. His family goes there every summer and it will be wonderful to take the girls trout fishing and hiking there.

This summer we've decided not to travel far and head to the mountains of North Carolina. We're going to rent a cabin and go white water rafting and gem mining I think. We love the mountains more so than the beach and it will be fun. Maybe we can get another family to go with us.

Once the coffee is done I'm outta here lol Yes Bea I still have some Timmy's left.. can you believe it lol I love that stuff and now my boss is addicted too

    Have a fabulous Saturday
