HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNA!
I really should get up at 5:30 every day! I've already walked, started laundry (can you believe I have more!) and mowed our yard and the neighbors! WTH who knew getting up early could produce such activity from me?!
So awhile back I mentioned a business venture I was contemplating... Flamingo a Friend
is not to be found within a hundred miles of me. We only have the Stork's nest and that is strictly for babies. No one does yard signs at all so I got to thinking and contemplating. Once I get it all made, outside the flamingo's, I'm going to have a go at my own front yard designs. There are graduation hats, hearts, the grim reaper and crows and happy faces amongst other things. The only money I'm out on start up cost is the materials and advertising. We'll see how it goes. I've got some other ideas as well for things to do from home but they require some more college and right now I'm trying to find the classes on line. Medical transcriptionist are in high demand in my area and most of the time you do it right from home. Court transcriptionist are also earning top dollar and I could do that. I just have to get my certification from the court system.
I'm off to finish birthday shopping and get our stuff packed for this weekend! I asked Jenna if I could still come lol after her morning surprise and she said yes lol I'm bringing "Jose" as a peace offering lol

I had a nice conversation with a court transcriptionist once, and if I had to do it over again, that's the field I'd have gone into (while I went to school to do what I really wanted). She makes very good money, sets her own hours, and essentially works from home. Wonderful opportunity.
I'm confused about the business thing, but any creativity and motivation is a good thing, and I will stay tuned for more updates on it. I have gotten up early before, but my yard doesn't get mowed and my laundry doesn't get washed...what am I doing wrong?

We had a business like that here for many years but it went away - wonder if she moved??? At the time I had thought it would be a fun thing to do & fairly easy way to make some $$$ once the signs were made. Good luck!
