Roflmao I love Maxine

Tuesday has always been one of my favorite days of the week. I always feel like I can get more done on Tuesday than any other day of the week. I have a laundry list of things to do and am determined to get as much of it done today as possible. I've already washed windows in the kitchen and am going to move up to my bedroom to work on laundry that needs to be put away.

I think I'm going to get Steve a power tool he's been wanting but wouldn't spend the money on.  He's a practical spender and hates to spend money period lol  We'd probably be rich if it weren't for me Ok ok so not rich lol but he'd never have any debt if possible. Who wouldn't is what I always say to him lol

I've had to ice my cast the past few days. My wrist is swollen and throbbing. I think I may need to go in prior to my next appointment, but it could just be the tendonitist. This cast is by far the smelliest heehee and I try not to waive it in front of  people for fear the smell will travel heehee

Have I said how much I love that Chris Cuomo is on GMA full time now? heehee He's a treat to the eyes that is for sure..if you life that type :-p and we all know I do heehee

I've got to get motivated to get moving. Steve's party is this weekend and I haven't gotten half the things done that I wanted. My mission for today  is to go get the party favors, gag gifts and make sure all are invited. Tomorrow  I need to finish the slide show I'm making of Steve through the years. This one is tricky because I need to  climb into the attic as that is where a few of our older albums are and I have to explain why I have them out.  I've never done this so it's a task I may flop lol but I'm trying. 

I still haven't gotten him a  gift. I am clueless as to what to get him.  I wish he was one of those people who are eas y to buy and shop for. He's rather quiet about things he wants and has most of what he wants as well. My husband is such a gentle soul that he'd be happy with anything we give him, which is why I want to do something spectacular for him. I've begun working on a love letter to him, but that is something for me to him only. I'm seeking ideas lol any would be appreciated.

Sitting here isn't getting me any further... Have a super Monday!

It's been 5 years since the planes crashed into the Twin Towers and Pentagon and that  Pennsylvania field.  We lived in Germany at the time and I remember being so frightened and wondering what lie ahead. I never felt disconnected from the sadness. This was not something we recovered from quickly. I think we've returned to a normalcy but our new normal includes two wars on terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan and a global change in how we travel. Today when the time arrives to stop and remember those who died on that fateful day I'll pray for their loved ones, their children and families they left behind and for our soldiers who bravely fight each day. I'll be thankful for the freedoms I have and for the life I lead. I'll be proud to be an American.
