The more you have, the more you
are occupied,
the less you give. But the less
you have
the more free you are. Poverty for us
is
a freedom. It is not a
mortification,
a penance. It is joyful
freedom. There
is no television here, no this,
no that.
But we are perfectly
happy.
- Mother TeresaThis is partly true to a degree. In today's society the more you have means you are successful to a certain point. Just because you have more stuff doesn't mean you have all you truly need in life. I could fill my house with tons of things but if it's not filled with happiness and love then it's an empty home.
Mind you I do like nice things and we work hard for what we have our lives wouldn't be over if we lost it. We appreciate one another for the most part. Though my girls fight with one another, they are the first to turn to one another when they are scared or lonely. Steve and I argue or disagree but it doesn't mean we don't love and respect one another. What it means is we are human.
I think what Mother Teresa always wanted the human race to understand is that we must first appreciate the human life and the basic neccesities of life. The things we truly need to live and exist in this world. Everything else is gravy.

I went to work early today because we had a "crazy" client coming to the office early before court. I was supposed to leave at 4 pm but ended up working till 5:30. I'll leave early tomorrow. Of course I just get to come home and clean house lol
Went to watch Chelsea's game tonight. She played the last 6 min of the game woohoo.. I'm frustrated with this coaching staff and am trying hard to not say anything negative but it's obvious they don't have a clue what they are doing. Hell I know more than they do sometimes. Anyway, she makes a really cute defender lol
happy early tgif

Great quote!
I hope the coaching improves!! HUGE HUGS to both of you!
Happy TGIF!!
I hope the work part of today goes well for you. YAY for Chelsea. I bet she is a cutie on the field! I hope the coaching staff gets their heads out of their rears. I'm having the same type of issues here. Give the girls huge hugs for us. We miss you guys.
Yeah - frustrating for Chelsea - and for you! Hope the best part for her is enjoying the friendships on the team, then she is getting something good out of this! Do something this weekend that makes you laugh! Hugs!
Yippee for coming home early on a Friday!! even if it is to clean. Thinking of Chelsea.. that sounds very frustrating.Ugh.
I never buy lottery tickets because the lottery is best defined as a tax on people who don't know how to do the math.
Another reason I never buy lottery tickets is that if I won, I would first have to change all my friends and second my life would become unbearably complicated, with all the extra responsibilities and all.
I feel like Eddy Arnold used to sing: "I've got a plow and a tater patch; I'm the richest man in the world."
Mother Teresa always has great things to say. My favorite: "We are God's hands."
P.S. Despite all the negative things I had to say this morning about the new profile stuff, I found you because you're a Friend of a Friend (raconteur). Nice find. Pleased to meet you.
