  • Last night we went to the most amazing resturant called "The Melting Pot". It's a fondue resturant with some awesome wine and food. We had a great time and were there for three hours before we finished our meal. It's that great relaxed atmosphere though that doesn't rush you. They want you to sit and enjoy the food and friends.

The best was our server.. he was a riot. He was openly gay and very funny. He didn't flirt with the men and played right into our jokes and fun. He brought out the dessert fondues and on the plate was cheesecake, pineapple, strawberry's etc. Well he suggested the cheesecake, with pineapple, dipped in the oreo white chocolate mix. OMG it was like a mini orgasim in my mouth. I know that sounds crude but I have nothing I could compare it to that would better describe how wonderful this was! Sorry if I offended anyone lol

We stayed the night in Raleigh and just enjoyed being alone and a couple. We haven't taken much time for one another and we needed to regroup. In light of all that's gone on these past few weeks we needed to reconnect and re-energize. We did just that and today I'm ready to face whatever comes my way because I have an amazing support system. They are my rocks and will ride this wild journey with me all the way to the edge.

We're off to get contacts for Chelsea and do a little bit of shopping. Hopefully we can sit and finish our taxes today.

I hope you are having a great weekend!

  • i love that restaurant!

  • We have one of those here in Knoxville, too. I really love it--particularly the dessert "orgasms." I love all of them, particularly the "yin-yang" dark and white chocolate. OMG! is right.

  • A fondue restaurant? I would LOVE that! Glad you had a great time.

  • We absolutely LOVE The Melting Pot! Yum!!! I really like the mojo fondue.

  • oh good lord that sounds like heavenly!! Miss A made a chocolate fondue last night for us. I'll tell her about this place. I wonder if there is one in Orlando area for when we go there.

  • I love that place.  Even got the husband into fondue's.  Now I just have to do fondue's at home (I have a pot) and see if I can do something similar (cheese for appetizers, broth with meat for main course and chocolate for dessert).

  •   Have a terrific weekend, Rosie.  Thoughts are off your way.

  • Wow! Sounds like you two had a great time!  So many people forget they are a couple first.  Doing that makes you a stronger family.  Good for both of you!  Hope the rest of the weekend is wonderful.
