  • Yeah Yeah I'm up

Watched the Olympic Opening Ceremonies till about 8:30 and then I went to bed because I was still so tired. Fortunately we have the TiVo working and I just watched it when I got up at 7 this morning. It was a great opening overall. I love Italy though and it's known far and wide I'd live there forever if I could afford it. Of course I'd have to live in the Tuscan region, most likely in Lucca as it is my favorite village there. Second would be Sienna as it's majestic and I could work in one of the little shops. Sigh.............

Steve and Jess are having far too much fun now lol Jess is being spoiled rotten which is a great thing. She'll remember this trip all her life and I'm so glad they got to take it. We're making plans to travel out there next summer and rent a cabin up on Bumping Lake. His family goes there every summer and it will be wonderful to take the girls trout fishing and hiking there.

This summer we've decided not to travel far and head to the mountains of North Carolina. We're going to rent a cabin and go white water rafting and gem mining I think. We love the mountains more so than the beach and it will be fun. Maybe we can get another family to go with us.

Once the coffee is done I'm outta here lol Yes Bea I still have some Timmy's left.. can you believe it lol I love that stuff and now my boss is addicted too

    Have a fabulous Saturday

  • I don't think they would have let us be Nuns....we would have been too much trouble! But it would have been fun!

  • Glad that Jess and Steve are having fun!

    Enjoy your day!!

  • Happy they are having fun! Have a great day!

  • Sounds like an amazing vacation. I love lazy/fun vacations like that.

I also love Italy. It was my favorite part of Europe -- at least of the parts we visited.

  • I'm glad they are having fun!! LOL i have more to send you if I ever gt these parcels out! I have three almost ready.

  • I'd love to go to Italy. Glad Steve and Jess are having a good time.

  • I'm glad Steve and Jess are enjoying their trip. Are you enjoying the quiet house?

I want to visit many parts of Europe. Perhaps you can provide me with some travel tips?

  • I definately want to go to Italy and have wanted to for years.  Once my gf and I saw this brochure where you pay (thru the nose) and you live in Italy for 2 weeks, learn the language and they have other things you can do while you're there.  You can take a photography class, cook native dishes, hike etc (main part is to live there and learn the language however).  I still want to do it.  Maybe this summer sometime we'll get to go to Italy.

  • I just finished John Grisham's "The Broker" & the main character had to learn Italian while hiding from killers.  It was very cool to try the words as I read.  It also described areas of Bologna & Milano - belisimo!  (Did I say that right?)

Your family vacations sound so nice!  I am also glad your husband and daughter have this time to spend with the family.  Peace!

  • I saw your goals.  You can change your screen name to "debtfree" or whatever that wench's screen name is.  LOL

Hang in there, sister.  I know I haven't been around much but I'm praying and thinking of you every day.  Our dear Canadian friend is keeping me posted.  If you didn't have that darn job I could call and harass you all day too.  LOL
