So I finally made it to Hobby Lobby yesterday and well I was disappointed in ours. It was more furniture and less crafting items and their scrapbook section left something to be desired outside of their paper section. They had far less to offer than Michaels and so I don't see me going back there. AC Moore has a better selection as well than our Hobby Lobby so I was bummed. I've been waiting to go back into a Hobby Lobby since 2001 when I went to Utah and met a friend from college and she took me there. She loved the place so much she got a part time job there lol I have to go back out into the world of shopping today with Chelsea and get her softball gear and some exercise stuff for PE. Remember when we had PE all four years of school? Well she only has to satisfy one credit to graduate! I think it's crazy! Also remember when we had to buy our pe clothes from the school? They don't do that anymore either!
I could careless about the superbowl today lol but I'm looking forward to the food and seeing my friend's sister. She is going to be in the crowd for the Stone's concert! So I'm glad we got our TiVo going and we can record it so we can find her.
Other than that.. quiet weekend!

Hope u have a good day!
I like AC Moore better, too, especially for jewelry making (which is what I do most).
I don't care much about the Superbowl, either, except I heard someone say something funny the other day regarding the Seahawks. They compared a Seahawk Superbowl win to Dennis Kucinich winning the presidency. [snort]
Oh, yeah, if you ever get a chance, check out Joann's Plus (used to be Joann's Fabrics). They've got great stock and even better classes than Michael's.
In my school, if you played a sport that year you didn't have to take PE. Most of us played some sort of sport. Also, we didn't have to wear special clothes, just whatever was appropriate. Sounds mean to make them buy special clothes! Some people are poor.
I was going to suggest going to JoAnn's too for scapbooking supplies. Ours has a big selection. My boys still get their gym clothes from the school. It is just shorts and a t-shirt with the schools team logo on it. They only need 2 semester credit.
Have a good one. Hugs!
Re:PE it is the opposite up here. It was never mandatory for me in HS but for Adam it is every year (I believe).
PE was mandatory all 4 years back in the cave-days & we had to wear outfits provided by the school: one-piece reddish-purple-ish, zip-up-the-front, short sleeved, jumpsuits. And the legs had elastic around them so when we were not on our feet no one could see up them. I wonder why I haven't thought of THEM in years... 4 years & I still ended up fat - not fair. Those should have given us a "skinny" pass for life! And for as modestly as we girls were protected by these monsters (which, by the way, were loaned to us for a year, we had to take them home to wash them, and returned them at the end of the year) - modesty for the girls - but we had a swimming pool & the boys swam separately - in the nude! I won't describe the swim suits we had to wear!
We have an awesome Hobby Lobby in our town where I love to spend HOURS! It has 3 aisles for scrapbooking supplies! About 15 miles away is a Michaels and there's a JoAnn's but I haven't been there. I thought it was just sewing supplies, so I'll have to go check it out!
My dad lives in Assisted Living & things aren't too much fun there, so knowing he likes the Steelers, I bet him a quarter (Mike Holmgren used to be a Packers coach, after all). Dad will get a kick out of getting a quarter in the mail this week.
It seems that Hobby Lobby has become more of a home decorators shop than a crafting shop. It is the same here.
That's the one thing I miss about Clarksville, TN, their Hobby Lobby. They had a huge crafting section and had tons of papers, rubber stamps and all sorts of wild and wonderful things for scrapbooking (and rubbing stamping). That's why I have a huge box of "stuff" from there. I'd always look to see what they had on sale...
